The importance of interviewing multiple agents before making your decision.
Choosing the right real estate agent to list and sell your home is a significant decision. Just like any other major choice, it's essential to explore your options before settling on an agent. Let me share a story that highlights why interviewing more than one agent is a smart move.
As an experienced Realtor with over two decades in the field, I've witnessed a common trend. When one property sells, it often triggers a chain reaction, leading to the sale of more neighboring homes. This insight is valuable because it highlights the potential impact of a home sale on the local market.
"It's essential to explore your options before settling on an agent."
Recently, I had an encounter with a homeowner looking to sell their property. I introduced myself as I usually do to the neighbors, showcasing the positive outcomes of our previous sales in the area. I had successfully sold a property for $1,300,000, which caught the attention of this homeowner.
During our conversation, I assured the homeowner that I could potentially secure a sale closer to $1,400,000 for their property. They were intrigued and expressed their interest in discussing this further. They mentioned they were planning to go out of state but would reach out upon their return to initiate the collaboration.
However, as time passed and I attempted to get in touch, there was no response. I eventually discovered that the homeowner had chosen to list their property with an online company instead.
